Classroom Tour- Picture Overload!

Welcome to my classroom! I was so excited to get a room with windows this year! I have kept with my Road Trip Theme this year!
Here is our board right outside our room!
I made this board to keep track of where my students are. When they are leaving the room for any reason they must move their magnet (with their number on it) to show where they are. Because no doubt I will forget where someone has gone! :)
Here is my calendar and lunch count! WHERE IS MY NUMBER 3??! I cannot find it anywhere! Lunch count: students move their numbered stick in the fry box of their choice!
Here is my learning target section and soon to be math calendar board. These magnetic strips are AWESOME! Way better then duct tape.
This is my movable word wall I created last year!
The carpet area with my awesome rocker! The map blanket was given to me by a parent. So neat!
Library area. I didn't show you my books because they are still a MESS!
My desk! Love my spray painted file holders.. so much better than gray!
Job board, turn in boxes, and mail.
Star student board.
Materials and my palm tree! I have gotten so many compliments on this and its so easy to make! Its just a pvc pipe in a cement container, with an umbrella on top, and then I cut out green paper!

Guided table, materials, and reading focus board.
 Boggle (love!) and materials.

There is it.. wow that was a lot of pictures! All I still need to do is get my license plates with my kids' names on the door! Those are my favorites!
Ready for my first full week of school starting tomorrow with my thirds!

Love this! Join Tara and link up!

Scroll down to find the GIVEAWAY!
Whoa! This has been a busy week! I didn't have much going on this week so I threw myself into some projects! Some are not quite completed so I will post about those when I am finished!

Now, I know this doesn't look like much. BUT trust it me it took us awhile to complete this! We dug out all the grass and weeds. Yikes! There were tons. Then restacking the rocks so that they fit correctly is like a puzzle! But I think we did a pretty good job. Now, I just need dirt and mulch!
Next, when I was pregnant I REALLY got into crocheting. I mean like obsessed! I needed something to occupy my mind I guess! I think I ended up making my son like at least 10 newborn hats! Ha! My friend said it was a parade of hats because he could wear a new one everyday! Honestly, I think I changed his hat at least 5 times while we were in the hospital! He was just so cute!
Anyways, I decided to create my own Etsy shop of my crocheted items. I have been researching and getting ready all summer and I have finally done it! I'm so excited to share my hobby with others! If you haven't checked out Etsy you should! Here is my store!

And I FINALLY finished my Computer Lab Word Wall cards for TPT. I needed to make some changes from the ones I have in our computer lab! These are so cute. Check them out in my store!

Two for Tuesday

http://www.theteachingtribune.com/2014/07/two-for-tuesday-71514.html
Trying out this linky I found today! Looks like fun! Thanks to Martha at the Teaching Tribune for hosting! I am going with a Reading theme today!

Here are the 2 products that I have put on sale for 50% for today!

The first is a new product I finished up yesterday. I'm so pumped about this one. I am going to print and laminate these today!

What I'm using them for:
-I saw a large wooden sign created with book places on Pinterest. I haven't got around to that yet, looks like it will take a lot of work. So I created my own book places clipart to use in my classroom!
-I am going to print out the colored arrows pretty large and laminate them. Then I am going to attach them to a long piece of construction paper for the sign post. This is going to look great in my classroom library!
-There are some ready made sign posts for you to use as well!
-I am also going to use them for library activities as clipart!

Next up, my Story Map Cards.
Included in this set are Story Map cards and What's the Big Idea cards.

What I use them for:
During small guided reading groups I use these for the stories we are reading. I just assign each student a box and a sticky note and they have to record the needed information. (I usually rotate boxes so that each student gets to do all the boxes) it really gets them into the story because they know they will be assigned something to write about. You could also color code the sticky notes to a specific group so that you can leave them up! My students loved this last year. I don't know what it is about sticky notes but they are always excited to use them!

Here is what it looked like in my room last year!
That's it for today! I have already found things I need to purchase!

Happy Tuesday!

Monday Made it July 14th

http://4thgradefrolics.blogspot.com/2014/07/monday-made-it-summer-week-7.html
I'm linking up with Tara at 4thGradeFrolics for MMI!
I made my niece this adorable little bow to wear in her hair! Isn't she adorable!?
My next made it is a recipe! For some reason I decided yesterday that I needed to cook! We made breakfast burritos to freeze, no bake cookies, and enchiladas for dinner! I have always been somewhat scared to try and make enchiladas because I thought they were just too much work! But, I found this easy recipe and tried it out this weekend. It was delicious!! Check out the recipe here.
Yummo!
Last, here is a preview of what I've been working on! These are going to look great in my library and go along with my road trip theme! I've seen cute signs made from wood like this, but I figure I will actually make this if I only have to print and laminate!

That's it for this week. I really need to start thinking about what I need to start doing for my classroom! Can't wait to see more ideas!

Five for Friday!

I thought it would be fun today to link up for Five for Friday with Doodlebugs! So here goes!
http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/2014/07/five-for-friday-linky-party-july-11.html
So excited Ryder is starting to smile a ton and laugh! And I actually caught a picture of it this week! School is a month away already. I'm going to be sad to leave him for the day, it's been so nice staying home with him!

I am a LITTLE obsessed with making bowties for my little one! They are so fun and cute! He has one for all the upcoming holidays so far! I'm contemplating selling these on Etsy but need to do a little more research!

I finally finished up some of my clipart that I have been putting off for what seems like forever! Aren't these just so cute? They go great with my Road Trip Theme in my classroom! I need to get to printing! Check them out at my store!
Another project I finished up last night. Yay! A sweet, little jester hat for my neighbor's soon-to-be-here granddaughter! I love the tassels on top! Her parents love the Renaissance Fair so hopefully they will love this too!

And last, I started working on my outdoor landscaping project that I have been staring at all summer. I'm just getting started on the outline, but hey gotta start somewhere. After moving rocks for about 45 minutes and sweating in the heat, I came across a small snake! Yikes! Needless to say, I was done for the evening. Wonder if the neighbors heard me scream!

That's it for today! I look forward to checking out everyone's post!
